Title: Shimano Sedona 4000FD Drag Clicker?
Post by: jplee3 on March 20, 2019, 11:00:23 PM
Hey all,

Was wondering if anyone has a picture of the 4000FD drag clicker and what it's *supposed* to look like... I've been trying to put it back together but the clicker doesn't really make noise so I'm not sure that it's engaging properly.

Dumb me - turns out it was the removal of one of the plastic washers that led to the issue. I've noticed the line lay on both my Sedonas is slightly top-heavy though, which led me to remove one of the plastic washers, but that apparently caused the clicker problem!

Anyway, guess I won't be messing around with that anymore haha.

if your line lay is top-heavy conical, you ADD spool washer(s) to get back to straight/cylindrical

older Shimanos had 3 skinny washers & drag clicker worked w/ 1, 2, or 3 (4, if worn)
much older Shimanos had 1 fat washer that was a must-have, for clicker to reach

???  your schematic shows 2  ???
