Title: Shimano TLD Star 20/40
Post by: Mangi on July 14, 2011, 10:21:19 AM
Hiya Guys,

I picked up a TLD Star 20/40 for a steel and need to replace the bearings. (Reel bought with no bearings inside) I'd like to fix it up as a reel to use off the reefs.

Does anyone know the exact dimensions of the bearings for a 20/40?  Plus, what size is the drive shaft bushing, because I would like to replace that with a bearing too.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks George,

So it is safe to say the 15/30 and 20/40 use the same size bearing:

Spool Shaft Bearing: 4 x 11 x 4mm
Right Spool Bearing: 6 x 12 x 4mm
Drive Shaft Bearing: 8 x 16 x 5mm

Not what is size of the bushing where the drive shaft fits into the right hand side plate?
