Title: 5500 drag stack sequence
Post by: publius on January 12, 2017, 09:32:53 PM
The few threads with pics of this haven't done me any good. Could someone post a pic of the exact order of the stack with new carbontex. Thank you.

Always the same, the first metal is always a keyed washer.   CF, keyed, CF, eared and on.

That reel uses tghe smaller 6-710 drag washers.

With an empty spool its drag washer first into the spool then a round keyed metal washer. Then drag washer and hexed metal washer, drag washer and round keyed metal washer on top.

Not sure which exact type you have, most (especially newer) are rather simple.
A few older types have a bunch of washers, hope the pics help:

That does help a lot. The ones with all the steel washers on top; I basically just put enough in to eliminate side to side handle play?
