This 99 sized jigmaster isn't big on bling but is about as corrosion resistant as I can make it.
I was lucky enough to get a set of stainless rings, sideplate locking screw and clicker assembly from Chris (Rothmar2) but a lot of the other parts are readily available.
Black Pearl internals with a set of Newell 4:1 gears, the handle shown here is from Alan T with a Tiburon grip added.

As far as I know penn didn't make a 99 size spool with stainless sides - I replaced the chromed brass sides from a 99 spool with the sides from a stainless 500 spool.

The stand is a stainless 30-66 from Scott's with the top of the 'lugs' filed down to clear the spool.

I decided to put a curved counter balanced handle from Adam (3sevens or motive fabrication) to match his curved star. I also made a curved clutch lever based on the shape of the star.

Way to think outside the box, and get her done. Just missing a Silverbeach Stainless (or maybe German silver?) eccentric, and a stainless knob.

Andy, making the eccentric levers by hand is too tedious a job, as Chis has hinted, to make them in any number. The lever could be water cut and the stops turned on a small lathe but it would probably take a lot of interest for someone to take it on.
John, The eccentric doesn't have a number stamp and was described as stainless when I bought it but I think it is probably a chromed brass one from a 500S or other jigmaster. A stainless knob would be good but there are a few other parts needed as well, the bushings would need a bronze lining in a stainless housing, the handle retaining screw, the eccentric lever retaining screw, and there was something else..... Oh yeah - stainless sideplates! ;D ;D ;D

Mo is right, some grades of stainless are magnetic (eg. 400 series??) while some are not (eg. 304, 306). From what I've seen and read, the magnetic grades are stronger but less corrosion resistant than the non-magnetic grades like 304 & 306. You've probably seen these spools with pitting or corrosion on the magnetic arbor/shaft but not on the non-magnetic sides.

It's pretty straight forward, the spool sides are held in place by the nuts on either end of the shaft / arbor. They are a tight fit but usually can pulled by hand.

The pinion side can be removed, but the clicker ratchet that is peened onto the tail plate side of the shaft stops the side from coming all the way off.

To remove the ratchet, I made a rough punch that fit over the shaft stub and inside the ratchet. Then supporting the spool side between two pieces of wood, I punched the shaft through the ratchet.

I didn't notice at the time, but it seems likely I've warped a spool side or two doing it this way - I sent a few pulled apart spools to Chris (Rothmar2) for another project & some of the sides were warped when measured accurately. If I do another spool, I think I will try removing the peened area of the shaft with a rotaty tool burr or something.
To put it back together I centre popped or staked the ratchet back onto the shaft - I went a bit overboard with this one, it only takes a little deformation to secure the ratchet.
