To us San Francisco Giants fans and baseball fans, game 1 goes to the Giants. SF Giants 7 Kansas City Royals 1. Go Giants. Stay tuned for more information. Dominick
Since I don't have a horse in the race, I am rooting for KC. It's been a long time for them. I grew up originally as a Orioles fan because Boog Powell was from Key West (my home town) and they also conducted spring training in Miami. When Ted Turner started broadcasting Braves games on our local TV, I followed them until S. Florida finally got a team. Since I am a homer, I root for the Marlins although I dislike the owners. May the best team win.
Giants are nothing that's why we let you have them.
UH Oh! :o
Big Words there Mike! ;D
Just look who we kept. I don't mean the Mets, they weren't around back then.Yankees
Hey, Mike --
Yankees?
Are they a pro team or college?
Best,
Fred
They didn't have incentive this year. They were busy saying Bye to Jeter and letting him enjoy his year in review. NO I am not counting on A Rod except to be a over paid paper weight
Mike
Game 2 goes to KC Giants 2, KC 7. Travel tomorrow, game 3 at ATT Park Friday. Just a hiccup in the grand scheme of things. The baseball gods are with the Giants. ::) Dominick
couldn't stand to watch, so i came back out the garage and knocked out a few reels, then came back inside. should have stayed in the garage, :-\
Mike I can see you don't like the 7 WS Championships the Giants have or even the 20 World Series appearances they have, I would like to know if you hate the 5 Superbowl's the 49er's have won as well ;D ;D ;D
Go GIANTS
I have no problem with SF 49's. Only if they play our NY teams in season. Neither one will be in the Playoffs or SB this year.
Mike
aaargh Giants 2, KC 3. KC 2 games to Giants 1. On to game 4. Go Giants. Dominick
I have been a Giants fan since I was a kid, still have my 1968 Topps from the Giants. And the A's. Have signed Sal Bando, Gene Tenace, and someone else. QuikStop market in our neighborhood had an A's team day and we rode our bikes over and got to hang out in the parking lot with some of the players. Players loved hanging out with a bunch of kids back then and being heroes.
All that said, I have a gut feeling the Royals are a team of destiny. The Giants just don't have that clutch killer this year. All the pop flies were killing me. My wife asked why I was watching DateLine, "Because the Giants can't beat these guys, and I can't bear to watch". Not usually that pessimistic but I won't even watch tonite.
GIANTS fan for over 40 years, and not one time did any of them come over to help me or my family out or call and say "Hey Tim thanks for being such a loyal fan", so I just can't get all that worked up either way. If the Royals win good for them...If the Giants win even better ;D ;D ;D
Gee Tim. I am surprised at that approach. As far as I know the Giants think highly of you. :D ;D :D Dominick
Game 4 goes to the Giants. :-* Giants 11, KC 4 the series is now tied at 2 and 2. Go Giants. Dominick
I watched that game. It was Good! ;D I think the Giants can pull this off if they play like that again.
Interesting thing about last nights game -- mostly/all? -- base hits and RBIs.
Kept everything under control, positioned for opportunities, kept the ball on the ground, not much grandstanding, two well matched professional teams.
Hope it goes 7 games...
Best,
Fred
Spent last night at my daughter's marching band competition. One minute they're losing, the next minute they're ahead. Crazy sport.... :-\
Good ole days with marching band an my son. His band won a few competitions, including Santa Cruz.
I ended up watching at my Bro-in-laws, but he had high quality rye to keep me calm. That and 11 runs.

I Knew that.
Game 5 goes to the Giants. Giants 5, KC 0. Giants are 3 games to 2. We travel to Kansas City for game 6. Go Giants. Dominick
Great game! Go Giants. Mad bum was awesome.

The series is going to end in 6. We don't want a 7th game. Dominick
Well I didn't want a 7th game, but we got creamed 10 to nothing. KC takes game 6. Giants 0, KC 10. On to game 7. The bottom fell out of the Giants last night. Tonight is a do or die game. The ultimate high tension game. Winner is the champion. After that no more baseball until spring training. Go Giants. Dominick
Dom, I had to turn it off again. I just can't watch when the Giants get in that mode where they just seemto go thru the motions.
Tonite we'll see if they can snap out of it.
Game 7 was predictable more games= more $ for both teams
It's easier to rebound after a blow out than a heart breaking loss. Hudson gets his life bluff called tonight...16 years and he said"I picked the Giants so I could have a shot at a championship"...Well Huddy your the starting pitcher in game 7 of the World Series, go get em'
San Francisco Giants WORLD CHAMPIONS. Game 7 Giants 3 KC 2. No more baseball until April 2015. Congratulations to the Giants. :o :o :o Dominick
What a nail-biter, kept me up all night ::)...congratulations to the Giants.
Glad they could pull it out for you Guys! ;D Way to Go Giants! ;)
That was a weird call in the 3rd -- that was reviewed and overturned.
Possibly cost the Royals the game.
But then, what an outstanding performance by Bumgardner...WOW!
From the end of the 4th -- through the last pitch in the 9th -- he just controlled the game -- 5 straight innings -- complete shut down of the entire Royals team -- one of the best teams on the planet.
Every young mans dream when playing Little League or Babe Ruth League. Last game of the World Series -- called in to put the game away after it starts to get away from them in the 3rd & 4th -- completely dominates, leaving the other team no chance.
Ice water in his veins -- Ironman!
Good game.
Best,
Fred

Congrats Dom. I am truly blown away by the fact historical norms were brushed aside and new history made. Bum is a rock.
I just told my son to remember this, you will never see it again.
Sorry Mike.
It's good to be King!!!!! Historic pitching by Madison Bumgardner
fun to watch. glad i'm not working in san francisco for the next few days!
I can't win them all but one would be nice.

Come on Mike. Don't be a sore Loser. :'(
You are a Yankees Fan anyway. ;D
HOW BOUT THEM GIANTS!
Can I take a breath yet?
I just got off the phone with one of my uncles who is a vice cop in SF.
He sounds like he has laryngitis!
His voice is totally blown.
Game one was as good of an example of how Great Bumgardener is as game 7.
Way to go GIANTS! ;D :D 8)

I gave up on BB when the Dodgers went West in '58. I only watch BB when at some ones house or have some one visiting me that want the game on. Yes I have taken our kids to games at Shea & never been to Yankee Stadium yet but friends put it on so I watch. Was I a fan of Jeter Hell Yea. Next thing to loose on TV is Basket Ball.
