I am looking to find an assortment of these retainers but I dont know the name of them. Its the small wire octagon shaped bearing retainers found on all baitcasting reels.

Does anyone know the correct name for them?

Octagon snap ring . I have not seen a assortment box like you would other rings.

Wouldn't it be a pentagon snap ring? If you ordered octagon it might not work

It's a hexagon,octagon has 8 sides. Shimano calls it a retainer.

Yep it's a hexagon (6 sides) spring washer - with one side removed. Most just call it a spring washer :-\
