Title: Fore grip question
Post by: gstours on September 04, 2021, 03:06:16 PM
A little while ago I got a chance to test a jig rod that I've always dreamed about.  It's high end for my budget.   The rod was almost perfect for a factory rod butt the gripe is with the beaver tail fore grip.
It seems odd that the grip shape is as shown.   I don't see any advantage to this shape.
Can anyone explain?   Just wondering?🤷‍♂️

I thought it was to keep the line from rubbing.

seems like a nice feature, if the blank is SUPPOSED to bend close to the grip under heaviest loads
