Title: Daiwa 27H Clicking
Post by: RamseyReelRepair on August 09, 2018, 02:34:13 PM
So i just got done cleaning and upgrading the Drag Washers in a Daiwa 27H and i have noticed that there is a click that sounds like the clicker is engaged but its not. Could it be the dog? i gave the dog spring a bit more strength when i reinstalled it. I should of noticed if it was doing that before but i didn't. any ideas?

dog spring could be it. does it operate smoothly otherwise? if its the dog, shouldn't hear clicking with clicker off and pulling line out at freespool. if you do, its something else like maybe spool needs shimming or pinion isnt seated properly....check that so you don't wear the pinion. also could be levelwind synchronization.

Great reels...i give them to my brother every birthday and I use the 47H every weekend.

it runs smooth otherwise and it does not click when freespooling. Im guessing it is in fact the dog?
