Title: Newell Gear Sleeve measurements
Post by: defrag4 on September 25, 2020, 04:38:14 PM
Hi guys, I am trying to fix my no-name reel over in this thread - https://alantani.com/index.php?topic=31980.0

We have learned the guts appear to be similar to a Newell, i am on the hunt for a replacement gear sleeve and need to confirm if it really is a newell match

these are the specs off of my sleeve, measurements taken from the flat side of the threads,  does anyone happen to have a gear sleeve from a newell 200/300/400 series they could measure for me?

i see a few used newell gear sleeves for sale on ebay and some upgraded 10-tooth SS versions on cortez, just not sure if they actually will fit

thanks!

I only had a Cortez SS on hand and it does not taper, so no help.

The width of the top is 6mm, then 8mm below. total height is 38mm. Close, still need the right threads and the hole for the sleeve post to be right. Probably a couple other things too
