I picked up a few of these reels from a local shop, they were unloading these at $30 with tax. I had to pick up a few to crack them open and I ended up upgrading the drag washers to CF.
The felt drags where fine but I upgraded 1 and left the other as is so I can compare them later in the season.
I loaded 25# suffix and used a known distance of 30ft to confirm the linecounter is on the $$$
Here is my AVSR (a very short review)
the reel is very similar to magda or depthmasters
I will measure the max drag with the reel being full with the cf vs felt just kicks.
The levelwind is all metal and the reel was well lubed from factory.
The plate screws were bone dry, I rushed some grease on the screws before reassembly.
