Title: First big buy of parts
Post by: Dave.C on March 03, 2018, 04:00:46 PM
Here's how it all started,
Went to tackle shop that is closing and picked up this stuff for $50. I'm going to need a few parts to repair some of the reels.
I've rebuilt 2 309's and have sold them.
I've bin bit!
Will post pics shortly

Good buy! The red cranking handle seems to be in bad shape. How did you service it? It looks alot better now. Did you also polish all the metal bars?

The red handle had paint on it. I think the reel was dropped or ?  I used scorch bright then polish. I replaced both side plates and the spool was bent.
Yes.  Polished the chrome.  The biggest issue with this lot of reels seems to be stripped gear sleeves where the handle attaches.
