Title: OKIAYA Knock Off Reel
Post by: handi2 on September 10, 2017, 09:26:33 PM
This is the OKIAYA 30 2 Speed. It's a knock off reel with very cheap parts inside. It works perfectly with great freespool and drag. After a good service it may last a couple of years longer.

I didn't take many pictures because Alan has a tutorial on the 50 2 Speed. I just noted the bad stuff.

The drag plate, drag cam, and other parts are pot metal and will corrode quickly. I don't know why they used this material.

The reel has a roller clutch and two bearings on the gear shaft. Plus the traditional double dogs the don't come off!

No bellville spring washers. Just a heavy spring sitting proud of a bushing and a flat washer.

The drag was caked with grease, the bearings were void of grease, no grease on any of the screws and hardware.

Just a couple of pictures.
