Title: Would Love Some Shimano Talica 10 Help and Hints
Post by: kenton on November 16, 2010, 08:12:07 PM
Hello Everyone,

I am new to this forum but not to fishing or reels. I am however new to the Shimano Talica 10 that i recently purchased. The Talicas are cutting edge reels so i have been told. So I know that sometimes companies will not grease things properly or sufficiently from the factory.  Do i need to grease the drags or bearings with some Cal's and bearing oil? I want to do everything i can to make this reel last.

Any parts that i can beef up to improve performance?

Thank you in advance..

Matt

jim nomura went through a couple of talicas.  bearing were again the main issue.  performance is about as maxxed out possible.

Are there any bearing upgrades regarding these bearing issues? Or am i just better off to have a couple on stand-by.
