I am in for Saturday, see if I can get Jose Cuervo onboard as well. Will arrive Friday and stay locally. The Golden Carp should be formally retired. Forget that remark, it should be carried on through perpetuity.

Get your tickets soon !
Less than a month to go! Looking forward to fishing with you guys!
Get them hex bars ready!
Pj
in honor of tim liddle, i'm going to use whole squid and an electric reel!!!!!
Well , I've been thinking about people I have fished with over the years quite a bit .
Sometimes I take things for granted . Been thinking about my Dad a lot .
I like to fish stuff , reels , rods , lures and jigs that belonged to someone else . Same thing with old hand me down tools .
Thought I would share a few that I will be bringing for our boat ride .
The hex bar was hanging up in the garage at the club house , covered in dust and saltwater corrosion . Alan was cleaning stuff out , Said "Help yourself ! " I think he commented that the hex bar belonged to his Dad .
The flies belonged to Big Tim . They are what he called his 'Lawn Chair Special ' The white multi fiber being from the webbing of an old lawn chair .
They all have caught fish and I like to think I will once again feel a hand on my shoulder and a "Easy Jonathan, easy..." As I reel in a giant Red or Ling .
These are the things that makes living life grand .
I can't wait to be on the big pond again with my fishing friends.
Best always,
Jonny
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and pics of custom jigs. Tight lines to the jigs on your next trip!
I have some of those Big Tim feathers. I miss him. Dominick

Mike
just checked windfinder.com. there is going to be virtually no wind on friday and saturday.
https://www.windfinder.com
Alan what depth are we fishing in.
Mike
dunno, but be prepared for anything from 60 to 300 feet.
Good depths to try slow pitch jigging. Good luck guys and have fun! :fish
"Wind finder", nice. Thanks Boss. Wind is my fishing weather nemesis and I never knew this one existed.
If anyone who is coming to Cayucos this weekend is looking for any particular used saltwater rods, reels, rockfish or yellowtail jigs and would like me to bring them on Friday afternoon, please send me a PM and I will let you know what I have.
Thank you,
Randy
Everyone,
I have to TAP OUT of this trip. I fell off a ladder in my garage (actually the ladder slipped out from under me) and I spent 6 hours in the ER.
Thank GOD no broken bones, just a bruised EGO and lots of scrapes and stitches to put humpy dumpy back together again.
After all was done, the ER Dr. told me NO to lift anything above 5 lbs. I looked at her and said SO NOT cranking up a 25 lbs. Ling Cod from 225 feet this Saturday in Morro Bay????
She just stared & looked at me. Doctors! they need a sense of humor!!!!
Everyone have a great time, and I am so sorry I won't be there for all the festivities.
Wayne
Wayne: You have to quit being like Alan so much ;D ................... feel better soon.
Cheers:
Todd
Would an electric reel help?
We just arrived in cayucos.
Ready....
Nikola!
Juan!!!
Pretty!
Nice! Looks like you guys found some good reds!
Once again we had a killer spread of food last night. Thank you Alan for cooking up the fish, Jonathan your pasta & sauce was awesome and of course the tri tip was delicious!
I want to thank everyone for making Alexis feel so welcome!
And we're in line!
Underway to the fishing grounds...
Three stacks and a Rock! Wish I was there with you. Have a great day out on the water!!! :fish
And a great time was had by all!
Looks like a great trip! - john
Yeah, fishing for both days was really slow. Not sure what was up with that. Still had a great time a surprisingly small amount of alcohol was imbibed this trip. Tim would have fixed that.
Here's Sheridan with the jackpot winner!
Other photos!
More.

And the group shot!
Alan thank you for hosting another great gathering! I'm still in awe of the quality of people in our small group, I love you all!
Let's all do it again soon!
Fun trip, fish ate the jig pretty good. Great group to fish with, hope we can do it again soon
Guys!
WHAT a great trip!!! The weather was ON YOUR SIDE!!! PJ your photo of the boat leaving the breakwater heading to the open ocean with the see FLAT - what a beautiful day!!!!
Nice selection of Reds caught - NO BETTER fish for Fish Taco Tuesdays!!!!
And to see everyone at the end of the day, some enjoying some "Honey Dew Vine Water" all the much better!!!!
Next time guys, and I'm selling my ladders, NO MORE time on ladders for this 66-year-old.
Wayne
Cool! Never seen the rock from that angle. Great bottom-fish variety. Seems like when that type of fishin is slower, you get that. Anyone know what species Red Juan is holding-up there on page 4, first post?
Gfish!
The California Dept. of Fish & Wildlife (use to be GAME) says they are Vermillion Rockfish.
See what they have to say on the subject.
And I need to post my recent fishing day in Maui!!!
Wayne
Thanks everone, good pics & good memmories, I like the picture of the fish on the cleaning table, give abetter idea of the sizes, cheers Don.
Here are a couple from me .

Inquiring minds want to know.
