:)  The lollipop is a roller bearing ,has more surface area to grab than the ball bearing .  Keep a look out for hard pin stock that fits the diameter of the ball bearing .

Quote from: Maxed Out on Today at 08:06:05 PMI found one online thru Ali Express that looks very similar to yours, but doesn't say it's a Brinkmann. It's $397

I have no idea if that's a good price as I got mine as an anniversary gift from my wife around 10 years ago....I'm sure they are still produce just under a different name brand

Most top quality reel manufacturers of 40-50 years ago also listed a "Parts Interchangeability" chart, along with part numbers —- either in the back of the Shop Manuals, or as a separate shop booklet.

Here is an example on the 100176 bearing —-

Wayne I never use a formal receipt, I just throw a bunch of ingredients into a bowl and taste it as I go along. Usual ingredients are soy sauce, garlic, citrus juice, honey, sugar, ginger, lemongrass, oil (sesame and/or chili) and water....

The anti-reverse dogs are quiet and work well -- but their design means they will result in some resistence when turning the handle. This is most noticeable in high gear. (The anti-reverse dog is essentially a large Ambassadeur-like dog.) That resistance will moderate with use. I don't like it either but I just bought a 16VISX because I've been so impressed with my 20VISX.
