Title: Pro Gear Violator V22
Post by: BL90292 on October 21, 2016, 06:47:16 AM
Just received my silver Pro Gear Violator V22.
What a pretty little gem.  Here are a few close-up photos.
I will try to open it up for a grease job this weekend.

That's darn nice.  Take some pics of the inside.  I'm curious to see what it looks like.

Nice, but they should've called it an Osprey if it's a V22.

I'm a little slow Mark, I just got what you meant, all these months later.  ;D

I think instead of looking for an overpriced 255 to fish, I'll pick up one of these little babies.  Better drags and gears.

True but replacement parts are readily available as most of the guts are penn jigmaster guts.

True again but if you don't have one, you can't replace parts.  ;D

The V22 is equivalent to the old 501 that Alan has a bunch of? I sold my blue 501 a couple of years ago. I sold my Lexa 300 and 400 last week and got a 400 HD this week. I should unload a lot of other reels but it's hard to do!

It seems I'm just a reel generation behind you, Mark.

This year will be my first, using my first generation 300 & 400 Lexa's.

I'll just follow your pioneering lead if you don't mind.
