Title: Compac Hornet 3 Reel History

Does anyone know the history of the Compac Hornet 3,all I can find is it was made in Japan?It is a smooth reel built like a tank.

 Not familiar with this reel. It does look to be well made for what it is.

The Compac Hornet series is from the mid 1950s. Compac was one of the early Japanese manufacturers and they made there own reels. They were distributed by Commerce-Pacific Inc. LA & Canada Ltd, Ontario.

I have a few Compacs, Atlas lll, Corona, and Daytona. But I don't own any Hornets.   One of our members collects those Compacs, but i don't remember who.
