This project came to me from a local, the rods been with him for 17 years and it was time to restore it for him. I did a full tear down and repainted the blank from the ugly Kencor yellow or orange to black. And full golden state warriors themed.

to coat the painted blank not the guide wrap

nice to hear that, I was also told to try that for coating a rod after painting it (when restoring a rod) by a friend.
I already have the product and will test it on some broken rods and also on a $12 dls rod from wallyworld, already took all the guides out and sanded the blank
