Title: Wrench To Remove Okuma Titus TG30 II Spool Cover
Post by: GooseCreekRods on December 02, 2020, 07:29:32 PM
I've removed hundreds of these spool covers and most come off pretty easily. These are not. They were in a beach house that was flooded and they sat underwater for who knows how long. Pretty decent condition considering, but the black spool cover that encloses the drag washer will not budge. I've tried heat, cold, soak in vinegar, PB Blaster, a wood block and just beating the crap out of it. It's not budging. Yes, the little screw has been removed. Nothing is holding it and I am going in the right direction. The "tighten" and "loosen" are clearly marked.

Is there a tool available to remove this cover? I've contacted Okuma with absolutely no response. I've contacted Mike's Parts, Mystic Parts, every source I can think of and no luck yet.

you may have to make your own spanner wrench and drill a couple of holes in the cover to match,  then epoxy over the holes.   :-\
