So I'm trying to install a P220 on my United Composite rod that has a reel seat. The reel seat came factory from UC.

The problem is my 220 base doesn't have the stainless ears to be installed in the reel seat. So I was looking at my no letter 322 that has the ears, comparing the bases. They look to be the same width and I don't see a problem swapping bases, but I wanted to ask before I go tearing both these reels apart to swap them.

So will it be a straight swap from a no letter 322 to a P220?

220 and 322 are interchangeable, 229 is same as 332

Thanks, did the swap today with no problems and put it on my UC rod.
