Where'd you fish Jon?
Were you at Francis Beach?
I went to Poplar Beach to see if I could catch anything, since i got skunked the first time out there. I didn't realize it was right next to Francis Beach! i ended up getting another smaller perch and a dungeness crab (pretty decent size, too bad it was on a hook/line and out of season!)
Nice!

Notice in the background my fighting chair. I had a rough time getting that perchadon to the beach. I had the reel buttoned down and the fish almost spooled me. I was finally able to turn it around and bring it in. My arms and back were sore the next day from that big fight. Dominick

Great time fishing today! Surf was big, but the fish were biting in the first couple of hours.. here's some of my fish
and this one was my best. of course, i had to see what it was eating, there was like 5-6 huge sand crabs inside
Congrats on the winning fish Jon!
Thanks for putting it on! getting read to make some tacos with our leftover beans and rice!
Lord, that sounds like fun.
What is the second fish?
I don't know if they would let you use one of those little mole crab harvesting baskets-on-a-stick in California. Looks like they would be the ideal bait.

got a few photos from yesterday!

Nice chatting with you, Alan. Thanks for keeping an eye out for me!
looks like it was a great time, love to fish with light gear
we dont have those perch in the Sea of Cortez but we have some small corvinas and croackers
it would be great to use my 14ft 3/4oz rod for perch fishing
this is my wife with a nice croacker with that rod and 1/2oz kroc spoon and 6lb hybrid mono/floro line
That looks like a TON of fun!!!
