we are first and always a fishing board, but enough of us shoot that i decided to put together a gun board. if you want to take a look, you have to let me know and i will change your settings so that you can look around and post. as always, no politics - fishing, firearms or otherwise. ;D
I'm a gun fan. Would love to be able to participate in that section.

I don't get to shoot as much as I did when I lived in Texas, but I do get out from time to time to enjoy it. Old Mil Surp mostly, but a few modern peices. Uncle Sam takes me out to shoot everything from 5.56mm-155mm (Me Loves some 155mm, everything else seems ....well small in comparison). Trying my hand at reloading, more out of need than anything, the Newtown ammo scare made it really hard to get ammo, even harder to get odd ball Mil Surp Size rounds like .303 Brit, and 9x18 Makarov (a better less expensive pistol I have never found).
I was just thinking about this after seeing the post Last night. Sounds good.
I've always enjoyed firearms and shooting,, sounds good to me!
Alan: I don't know what you mean about changing my setting but feel free to do so. I want in. Dominick

I am in.I like my shotguns as much as my rod and reels!

Don't add me unless someone is selling a stainless steel 22 revolver with swappable 22lr/22M cylinders. I've promised "no more guns, except one of those". :D

Nothing like a good pellet rifle. The invasive Chipmunks in my neck of the woods create havoc. I shoot every one I see. They dig and get under your front porch and in the drain tile around your home.
I can handle the squirrels and other non evasive vermin, but Chipmunks are No 1 on my list to get shot!

Oh, no! Not Chip and Dale? ;D ;D
Bang! Bang! :P
That sounds great I have the same bug for them too.
I had them in my drain tile around my House. They had taken old batteries and fireworks and whatever they could find to plug it up so they could live in there. I had to rent a 100' snake from Lowes to make sure it was clear. Dug up all the entry points, and tie wrapped hardware cloth around them, so they couldn't get back in. They were getting in around a rock wall drain that was tied into the main drain tile. I used concrete screws for those. then the slaughter began! :o
I don't mean to sound cruel, but you have to do what you can to protect your property. When you shoot at one and miss, they stop and stand up, and look around, "what was that?" That's the kill shot! :P
Best varmint tool is the airgun, mice, rats, chipmunks and the airborne ones, such as blackbirds, hooded crows and especially magpies. Nasty killers of any other form of life. I definitely hate them. Shot at sight (taking care not to be spotted, of course)

So what's your favorite airgun? Should we have an airgun topic here?
Mine is by no means modern. Its an old Crossman pump pistol. About 20 pumps will go through a car door! :o

sorry for the delayed answer ::) ::)
favorite airgun is a CalibrGun Cricket 22cal, I also have a 25cal Daystate Air Ranger 80, a 22cal AirArms S500 and a 177cal Weihrauch 50.
We sure have a good time here with buddies from our airgun forum http://wfks.gr (http://wfks.gr) we usually gather for BR/FT or just plinking on spent shotgun shells scattered around the field. The one who misses three consequent shots on indicated shell pays for the beers on the local tavern :D
Please add me in Alan.
Thanks. 8)
i have a couple of cheap springers. I have been wanting to step up to a PCP airgun. The Benjamin Marauder is what I would like to buy. A nice entry level PCP airgun. I just can't justify or afford to put that kind of money into one right now. Maybe that will change one day.
Bob

Thanks - will do - P6, 226 & 239. Can't decide between the 226 & 239 which is my favorite. Had a 220 but decided to downsize my calibers when all the mess happened a few years ago.

I shot one in my garage through an aluminum sign hung on the door, went through the sign, through the door, and through the headlamp on my truck parked in the driveway! Damn things are lethal, killed a possum I couldn't get outta my wife's laundry room. 20 pumps!
That's Funny Dave! :D I've had mine since I was a kid. There are no Chipmunks on my property. ;)
I'd like to get into the gun forum!

Hi Alan,

both in, thanks!
being this is an american biased site, i think its a great idea. Although i live in the UK, i have done my fair share of hunting as well as target shooting. At the age of 13 i joined army cadets firing Lee enfield .303 rifles where i was awarded my marksmanship diplomas. i have owned various air rifles over the years. my favourite was a falcon FN12 but i also had a weihrauch HW80 carbine.
I aint fired a shot for over 20 years but still think back to the times me and my mate would be out in the middle of the night hunting down bunnies for the pot
Interesting.
As a hunter, pointing dog man, and reloader of both brass and shotgunshells. I would really like be let in to the gun board :)
Best
Kolbein
