Penn's website has both in stock as of this morning, no TRQ or FTH LD2 reels though.... :0(
Hi, my name is Lee and I have a fishing gear problem.

I have all of the answers, yup, no, maybe.

I have a Mak 16 and a 20, both SEa.  The 16 has 80# topshot and the 20 has 100#.  I think I'll jig with the HXW w/100#... I got a 128# BFT on it last year.

I will be bringing the following:

Fathom 25NLD2/ PCH 701 for 30# flyline
Baja Special/ Californian for 50# jigging for yellowtail
Fathom 40NLD2/ PCH 741 for 80# jigging and sinker rigs

But I have a feeling the Fathoms will get the most use.
It may not be very productive,
but it's sure going to be interesting!

Anyone have any information on the current bait situation?

We had small to med sardines (4-5") on my 3-d a few days ago. Not the liveliest batch.

I'll be out again this weekend, and can give you an update on Monday.

Yup, tying up loose ends and packing gear now.   Next week I am installing a second fuel tank to avoid CA diesel prices as much as possible.   Diesel is "only" $5.45 a gallon here.

I have a 2 1/2 day this weekend on the Pacific Voyager. Weather should be 'sporting'! I have Bonine, Dramamine and a good stomach so hopefully I'll do well and catch fish... that I'll probably give away again.

$8.13/gallon here and I pay roughly 4c/kilometre road user tax for the privilege of burning it...

Good luck Mark!  Right now the boats all seem to be hitting it but then again landings never really give "bad" reports so it will be good to hear your feedback; I know if there are fish coming on the deck you will be one of the guys putting them there! - john

Got a text this morning from a buddy.....
QuoteBoats had limits bft & BIG last night,
284 lb on Pacific Queen

I will definitely need to watch the other videos. I may end up renting a hvy duty rig down there. Thanks
