I gotta get back out there!!!
Very nice, I'm missing out.
Excellent boss. Video with narration. If it's me with the net/gaff and my brother or someone I know well, I tease him/her a little, probably cause I'm not the one hooked-up. "Hope you tied a good knot. Wasn't there a nick in your line? Land him and you're the hero, or lose 'em and you're the goat!"
Nicely done. The water looked calm also. Dominick
Alan: isn't weird to reel in a salmon not using a "knuckle buster" single action reel !!!?? I know the "Peach" is sold on them and will never use anything else !! ;D Nice fish.
Cheers:
Todd
Cooler looks pretty full !! A good day!

Can I use your time machine sometime? I wonder what people thought of you on the California coast in 1029:)!
Way to go Alan, keep that cooler full!

I resemble that remark, Todd. :) My knuckles have almost recovered.
Leaving tomorrow for the 1500 mile drive to Foleyet, Ontario and a week of fantastic walleye fishing.
The Port Hardy salmon is terrific, BTW. So's the cod. Haven't cooked any halibut yet.
Peaches

one of my favorite "kid" quotes is from my oldest daughter, allison. after a day getting skunked on a salmon fishing trip years ago, she said "dad, salmon fishing is just like regular fishing, only you don't catch any fish!" well, i took her and my brother out for salmon on the 9th. it was a 20 mile run out of half moon bay. fishing was fast and easy. even the weather cooperated. allison reeled in three, maybe 8, 10 and 15 pounds, i got a 12 pounder and ed got a dink and a 16 to 17 pound slug! we were done at 10:30 in the morning and were doing 30 knots on the way home. great day!
A cooler full of salmon, doesn't get much better than that! Wish we had them down here in Florida. ::)
And, Alan, you are so calm and patient too.
salmon are pretty wimpy. i only use 2.5 pounds of drag!
