Title: Penn 113H - Part #15A-113H
Post by: Marlinmate on May 09, 2009, 01:51:13 PM
Alan

Looking at a Penn schematic, this part#15A-113H (insert) is included. When I took my 113h apart, this part was not in my reel, nor is it in your short version of your rebuild tutorial.

Any guidance on what purpose it serves or why it is in the schematic?

that insert would be placed on the opposite side of the dog.  one particular side plate was designed to be ambidexterious.  the idea never really flew.  alan

there will be a spot for it.  for the other side plates, there is none.  the side plate in the photo has no room for the shim opposite the dog.
