Title: Surprise uses for fishing stuff around the house
Post by: JasonGotaProblem on September 30, 2023, 11:09:20 PM
If you have the displeasure of owning a samsung dryer you may need to replace a blown out roller. The far side of it needs to be secured to loosen the nut. But its hard to grip. Unless you have a 4/0 size handle laying around, its a perfect fit.

What weird things have you used fishing stuff to fix?

I need something to hand our squirrel proof bird feeder. Mustad 10/0 7691 does the job

I use 200-300lb mono with crimps to hang picture frames. You can get it nice and tight and it doesn't sag when you hang the picture.

When I was a kid we rented an old house on Cuttyhunk that had a light at the top of the stairs that worked off a pull chain fixture.  Pop soon had rigged some 54 lb squidding line to the pull chain (it was the 60's) down the stairs and tied off to the bottom of the banister. I wonder what an electrical inspector would have thought of that 3 way installation? Have a similar setup at the bottom of my old cellar bulkhead stairs to light things up down there if I'm headed down in the evening
