Title: SL50SH in bits.Help if you can please!!!!
Post by: Dave Bentley on August 06, 2010, 10:56:11 AM
Hi all,
Today I picked up an SL50SH in bits. Got it cheap, it had been stripped to the barest. I have it back together except for a small white nylon cylinder approx 6mm ID 7.5MM od and 7mm long. I have checked the diag, compared it to a SL20SH, even asked the previous owner. Can anyone tell me if it's part of the reel, which part and where does it belong.

Could it be one of the casting brakes?

it possibly fits in under the cast control cap, some people replace it with a bearing

G'day Dave,

Here's a link to the schematics if it helps.

Thanks for your input. Found where it fits but not sure why.
It goes on the spool shaft before fitting the spool into the body?????
Tested the beast down at the park and it casts probably 20 meters more than the SL20SH. Not sure why, same line , rod and action.

Wet test tomorrow AM.
