Ok so I thought I had this reel all sorted out. But now that I had a chance to fish it I found that the star drag actually loosens when drag is pulled. What did I miss. I don't have any left over parts to account for.
My first guess is that the drag stack didn't end with a keyed washer before the spring washer and the spacer.
No it didn't. I could only fit 4 washers back in after upgrading to the carbonex drag washers. Would thinner metal washers fix this issue. And do you have any? Thanks Bryan
Chang that last washer to a keyed washer and the problem should be solved.
