Title: Screws for newell stand with no clamp
Post by: Surfwrangler on March 13, 2016, 01:32:54 AM
Hey folks,
I have a penn 506 that I put a newell stand on but the stand didn't come with screws or a clamp. Was planning on using the penn stock plastic clamp but I do not know what lug/bot combo will work with both. Any leads on where to hunt the screws/studs/bolts down for a reasonable price???

The screw size for the Newell reel base is 8-32, and the Penn screws may very well be 8-32.  You won't know unless you try them in the Newell reel base.  In either case you can go to a hardware store and buy 8-32 stainless screws.

I think that the Penn screws & nuts are 10-24.
