Title: tilting
Post by: wallacewt on August 12, 2010, 05:39:19 AM
i find the tilting to the right to slow down my tld5 very useful, esp on a long cast.i use it like a magnet, will it cause any problems?i have plenty of free spool, tilt to the left.

yes, that is correct.  there is a c-clip on the spool shaft and it behaves like a bearing sleeve that is too long.  we usually try to get rid of that "feature," but it looks like it works for you! ;D

Just worked on a couple of TLD 5's.You can sleeve the outer race of the right side spool bearing. It is approx .1" long. This sleeve is sized so that it fits as close as possible to the bore of the right side spool bearing.
