Title: Getting ready to do more jigging this year
Post by: Wolfram M on January 21, 2024, 02:58:13 AM
Poured 10lbs of jig heads this evening, from 1/8 oz up to 1.5oz, size 1 to 5/0 hooks.

Now it's time to set up the powder line and run them all through. White, red, chartruse, and pumpkinseed powders.

Anyone else cast their own jigs? I am working on new molds for some slow pitch and fast pitch vertical jigs, I got my diamond jig mold to pour cleanly the other day but it doesn't have a hinge on it yet.

I've poured prolly a couple thousand over the decades. Nice work!

Not that type, I have cast many surface and Iron jigs.   Trouble is I never seem to be able to stop and end up with a box full of jigs I never use and give them away.   I use mainly White metal, like them shiny.
