Title: Gosa 18000 F
Post by: jdc946 on October 11, 2014, 12:19:21 AM
i have a Saragosa 18000 F that has a frozen line roller. I called up shimano they said it takes 3-4 weeks to get the reel back. Sooo i am deciding to take it apart myself. Having never worked on a spinning reel, i need some clarification of how the line roller(part 5997) is supposed to work. Please excuse the basic questions. Logic leads me to believe that the line roller(part 5997) is supposed turn freely is this true? What i am assuming was the ball bearing (part 11424), was as thin as a spacer, and broke apart upon forcing it off, is it possible there was no ball bearing? I never have seen such a thin Ball bearing in the conventional reels that i have worked on. I am current soaking the line roller support(part 12062) trying to free it from the bearing spacer(part 12506). Any help at this point would be appreciated, or at least a suggestion as to where i can send the reel that won't take 3-4 weeks, since iwas hoping to use it on a tuna trip in 4 weeks.
