I had an unexpected surprise when putting the finishing touches on the 16/0 plate. My Dremel let out a few sparks and made a funny noise. I let it cool off. I went to start it again and it started smoking immediately and burst into flames. I unplugged it and threw it into the driveway.
That thing only lasted 10 years. Had to run down to Wally World and pick up another.
Plates all done.
Out with the old, In with the new. Everything polished and cleaned. Its late. I'll finish her up tomorrow.

Ordering Reel Parts / Re: ABU 7500C drag washer thic...

Quote from: Swami805 on May 17, 2024, 01:52:49 AMSeems to me it would matter in that location, I think I would want the right thickness there

Thanks for that - I ended up getting a sheet of 1.0 mm. I have another ABU 7000 that has gone sticky so that justifies the cost a bit more. Also I have several others with stock drags which are OK for now, but knowing these reels will probably need an upgrade eventually.

Great, if you have a couple of the copper thrust washers for the pivot that would be great! P.M headed your way as well; and Thanks. Mile

Here is a new one.

If you want it, I'll need your address today via a PM —- and will drop it off at a Post Office somewhere on our way back East.

N/C —- you can send me a few bucks for shipping after you get it and it works on the reel.

If I don't hear from you today, it will be at least 3 or 4 weeks.

Best, Fred
