Title: Trinidad 12a clicker problem
Post by: GoFish on August 27, 2016, 01:40:03 AM
'Got a little problem...the clicker, when in the off position, partially engages when bumped/touched. I was in the reel yesterday and there was absolutely no corrosion visible (but I didn't take the clicker assembly apart). It was a little dry so I added a smidge of grease and this seemed to alleviate the problem, but it still is not totally fixed. If anyone knows the part # that is causing this, let me know so I can order it. Note - the springs seem just fine, and the clicker is loud when engaged deliberately.

You probably have some built-up salt in the clicker area. The salt may also grind away on the nylon stopper. I would clean out the clicker assembly and see if that eliviates the problem. If not then you may need a new nylon stopper.
