Title: Dam Quick 110
Post by: old 1946 on April 15, 2022, 07:17:15 PM
Hello
Aquired really nice Quick 110 with the orginal manual.this is my second 110
I am having a problem removing the spool from the driving gear it just will not budge
I tried tapping the gear shaft with the nut loosened,WD 40 ect.
Anyone have a way to remove the spool without doing any damage to the spool or bodt?

Is this the 110 or 110N (Finessa)? If it's the 110, I believe that winding cup is threaded to the pinion gear. I don't remember for certain if it's right or left handed thread. I think it's right. Do a search here and I bet Fred has explained it a couple of times. Use the A/R lever to lock the main gear from turning then turn the winding cup counter clock wise. If it doesn't loosen, try the other way. Just don't turn so hard that you break something.

If it's a 110N, it should not be threaded to the winding cup and is likely glued in place with old dry grease.
