Title: fin nor 12 drag replacement
Post by: bill19803 on December 30, 2016, 09:08:41 PM
my  christmas  present to me  arrived  today   a  fin nor  12a   its appx size  of  atd 80w  or atd 80w. yee  haw  Darron ill be hunting  you

does  anyone have any experience in converting  drag  on  12a  (appx  80w size reel) from  cork  to   carbon fiber? reel  looks  pristine   but there  seems to be a high spot on  drags when cranking  with spool locked  down.  this reel  is not for the shelf  but to  work  and kill  swordfish.  think it  would  be neat to catch a  sword  on  antique like this, so  getting it overhauled    is  in the picture.

doc

i  read your comments on  fin nor last  night. reel  came today  and it definitely needs some work   you noted in previous post you were gonna try   removing  cork and adding carbon fiber  to  drag   did you do it  and if so how did it work out.
