Hi i have a Daiwia BG 35H which currently is paired with a jig rod. I am wanting to use this more generally in the boat, catching larger snapper and king fish, was looking for a more suitable rod recommendation around 5ft 6 to 6ft for a more all purpose boat rod. Would be interested in your recommendations

It would be good to know what lb test line you plan on fishing on that reel. If you braid back it that's fine but then we still would need to know what lb topshot you will use.

Shimano Energy Concept Heavy Boat 15-24kg, or Okuma Tournament Concept 15-24kg (either the 5'6" roller tip light game rod or the 6'0" regular one).
