So I just bought one of these off of ebay. Inside and out it looks like it has never been used, except the drive gear is bent. It was obvious and not described in the ebay add but they said "sold as is, untested" so I guess I am SOL. Anyhow I ordered another one and its on its way. I have also been in contact with Dawn at smoothdrag for the drag and bearing upgrade as well as their rubber molded handle. My question is this: Am I able to get the stock handle off the stock reel arm and replace it with the new one? I am guessing I will have to dremel it off and push the handle stem through towards the reel. Is that possible? Thanks. Anything else I should look for due to the bent drive shaft? I noticed nothing out of the ordinary when I had it apart.
