A friend just turned me on to this site and all
of a sudden Im breaking down all my reels for
the first time  :o

Searching around for all the good stuff, I found
the blue yamalube marine grease in the 14 oz
tube's, the guy sold me two for twelve bucks.

Yes, bought the Greaser from mta hobbies in Torrance. it's
almost paid for itself, fun stuff !

So far the only reel not running as smoothly as it should is
a Diawa Luna..... Ill keep at it

Been reading the info here for hour's, thanks again.

the daiwa luna is one of my least favorite reels to service.  there is a pinion support bearing that has to be removed and packed with grease.  it is the most difficult to reach and one of the first to fail.  you can see it when you pull the spool, but it has to be removed from the drive side.  that means that the shifting mechanism has to be removed.  yes, everything.

if you attempt this. keep a running photo record.  you will probably need it.  alan
