Safer than a cigar  !! I had a client (when I was guiding) burn the line while playing a fish with a cigar in his mouth !! I might have to go search for my pipe !!!!

Cheers:

Is that a Long Beach 68? Beautiful... I have one like it, but an oldie with the graphic sideplate. I just lent it to my stepson...  :)

Hello Aiala, you have a good eye !! 68 it is, and this one is early 50's.

Yours with the graphics is earlier version. (Pre-1950)

My brother lost a bass on a cigarette when we were young. I couldn't stop laughing!

TOP Cigar-smoking Fisherman there is.....

Dominick's lifelong friend, Joe from NJ,

I've fished with Joe & Dominick at least 8 days on the water together,

Joe is guaranteed to smoke 5-6 cigars per day, fishing or not fishing.

He is the best.

I remember that another ad with the guy casting a Penn while holding a pipe in his mouth.  Can't find it again at the moment.

Too bad briar pipes went the way of the dodo bird.  It was a lot of fun going through the whole packing/lighting ritual, collecting them, fondling and caressing them, using them as a hand warmer, blending tobacco, etc.
