Not me, but those things do not have a lot of parts.  Seen one and you've seen them all.

My 1st one, just seems like alot of springs, etc in some of the other schematics I've found. Better safe than sorry.  :D

I may be talking out of my rear end because I've never opened a 998.   But, if you remove the three peripheral screws at 1 o'clock, 5 o'clock and 9 o'clock on the right side, the right side plate will come off with everything still attached and intact for your inspection.  Under the right plate is a main gear secured with two bridge screws, a casting drag with a leaf spring secured with a screw, and a levelwind gear. You can then lift out the spool and see everything under the left side.  Under the left plate there is a clicker spring but they do not fall off.  Removing just those three screws will pretty much let you clean and inspect everything.
