Title: Hanging out at high tide
Post by: the rockfish ninja on March 22, 2014, 04:27:39 PM
That's what I do, to see what drifts in under the Gate from the ocean. The surge at high tide washes in everything from spider/kelp crabs to Lings, Cabezon, and rockfish. This day a 13" and a 15" grass rockfish fell for my presentation of lowly market shrimp, not bad for shorefishing near home.

Nothing wrong with that. Not sure what grass rockfish are, look sort of like a greenling.

Just a type of rockfish, like black, vermillion, or china. Nothing like a greenling, they have small mouths and few spines, unlike the prickly pair in my pictures. ;)
