Title: Penn 49
Post by: Haifisch on March 25, 2014, 09:45:47 PM
I am working on a Penn 49 and having trouble with a sleeve replacement. The replacement part I got was the correct number but the bore diameter was bigger then the original.  The old sleeves I have around don't fit it either. The pin on the bridge is .185" diameter, the original sleeve is about .189" ID and the replacements are about .220".  Anyone run into this?  I guess I would have to replace the bridge to get the newer(?) large diameter pin on the bridge for the new sleeve?

I've run into this with early Penn 60 reels, you will have to replace the bridge.
