Im thinking about buying a calcutta 700b and upgrading it to te status or better. What gears do you think would fit it (I was thinking trinidad or tranx gears for smoothness, and would i be able to replace the bushings with bearings, im specifically worried about the drive shaft bushing? Also do you happen to know the bearing that will fit on the spool shaft and do you think the te levelwind guide will fit on that reel?
Or is it even worth it? I have about every reel made, but my old 700 te got stolen so i meed a replacement and am deadset on calcutta vs the other options.
On another note can i swap the tranx pg gears for the hg gears?
