I used 1/16" cord for the handle and then put 2 coats of Spar Urethane on it for waterproofing. The pictures were taken before I treated the cord so I could capture the vibrance of the colors. The Spar Urethane darkens the cord a bit initially, but as it wears, the colors come back.

Yup. I'd recommend Jon to anyone. He's a great guy to work with and is a total perfectionist. I can't wait to fish my rods in June!
