Title: Left Handed Squidder Eccentric Spring install image
Post by: kmstorm64 on April 28, 2014, 01:37:59 PM
Does anyone have a correct image of a 140L-LH eccentric & eccentric spring install (key 19 & 20).  It is driving me crazy, as it appears to go in only one way but that way , always kicks out of retrieve and into free spool. I was starting to think I had the wrong side plate (key 1), but it is the same on both right an left models.  Any help is greatly appreciated!

I think it goes in like this - the end pushed inwards towards the other end and up .This is one of Alan's
pics in the 140 Squidder thread I think its right handed.
Hope this helps.
Matt...

Thanks Mattman, I am afraid I may be in the market for a need sideplate.  I have contact Scott's Bait and Tackle/Penn Parts and he checked and it seems like the reel has all LH internals and a RH side plate.  LH Squidders are hard to find, I bought it when I didn't know any better, and  I rebuilt it and it has never worked right, now I know why.
