Title: What is the difference between 6-114 and 6-115
Post by: Billy V on May 13, 2014, 12:34:56 AM
What is the difference between a #6-114 or #6-115 Carbon Fiber Drag Washer under the main gear in a 114H ?

The fiber washer that is being replaced is the size of the #6-115, but I see some people using the #6-114 to do this upgrade ?

What is the reason ?

The difference is the OD of the drag washer.  I use 6-114 because it will never bind with the anti-reverse dog.

I hadn't noticed that it was that close. It is an issue that happens from time to time, or an outside possibility of happening ?

I just figured the fiber washer was already that diameter so all was good....

I've noticed that a small washer that sits inside the ratchet is good, a washer that is oversized, same size as the one in the stack is better. What will get caught with the tip of the dogs is the size in between.
