Title: Pro Gear 541 Clicker Problem
Post by: Tiderunner on June 10, 2014, 08:45:42 PM
Hi Guys,
I have 2 Pro Gear 541 with clickers.
On one reel the clicker is loud and it has strong tension when in free spool.
The other reel clicker is not loud and the tension when in free spool is weak.
What can I do to increase the tension and increase the noise level?
Thanks,
Ken (Tiderunner)

you've gotta bend the springs in a little.  it's a very touchy procedure.  they have to be in the exact proper position and under the precise amount of tension.   :-\

Hi Alan,
Thanks for the reply. Sounds like this might be easy to mess up.
Where can I buy a new spring if I decide to try a new one?
This spring takes 2 screws to secure.
Thanks,
Ken

A lot of parts from P  G & Penn are interchangeable. Take the Spring out & bring it to a tackle store.
