I had to look this one up Wallace.
Lox is a dry-cured and lightly smoked salmon fillet, usually sliced very thinly and piled into tumbling folds.

Maple syrup on crumpets is one of my favourites. They're also good with cheese & bacon on them sort of a mini pizza.
