Title: Reel Identification Please
Post by: handi2 on July 17, 2014, 09:39:14 PM
My friend brought this reel in for me to look at. Everything works perfect. It's wooden with a brass frame. It had a keyed brass and leather drag washer under the wing nut.

Anyone know anything about this reel?

Thanks,

Keith

Looks very similar to a centre pin boat reel made in the UK up to about 20 years ago by a company named "Seareels".
The side plates and handles were made from "Tufnol" and the metal work brass.
They were cheap and very durable.
